Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at UC Berkeley — Fall 2027 Master's

• African graduates, including Nigerians, applying for a Berkeley master's
• Applicants to eligible programmes lasting two years or less (e.g. MPH, MPP, MDP, M.Eng, LLM, MBA)
• People committed to returning to Africa after graduation
• Not for PhD or dual-degree applicants

The full cost of the master's: flights, tuition and fees, visa costs, housing, food and living expenses, plus a paid internship trip back to Africa.

• Two recommenders named by 15 Nov for fee-waiver consideration; letters per programme

1. Pick an eligible Berkeley master's programme and note its admission deadline
2. Start the Berkeley graduate application (opens 24 Sept 2026) and apply in the first round
3. By 15 Nov 2026, complete the demographic section and name two recommenders to be considered for a fee waiver
4. Submit the full programme application by its deadline
5. If invited in February, complete the supplemental scholarship application and interview
